Geraldine S. "Gerry" Hill
December 29, 1925 - October 6, 2001

Geraldine S. "Gerry" Hill, 75 died Saturday morning at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. She was born on December 29, 1925 in Winchester, MA the daughter of George and Lou (Hopkins) Sherman.
As a young woman she taught Sunday school at the Ouechee and later the Norwich Congregational Churches. She worked at the Quechee Woolen Mill in Quechee, VT and the Hartford Woolen Mill in Hartford, VT and later worked on the lunch program at the Lebanon Junior High School in Lebanon, NH. Gerry was married to Earle Burt Hill on December 28, 1945 in White River Jct. They lived in Hanover, NH where she worked as a manager of the Lower Case at Campion's store.

She and her husband also owned and operated G & E Upholstery in Hanover for many years. After retiring they lived in Pompano Beach, Fl. Mr. Hill died in 1989. After his death she moved back to this area and has lived in White River Jct Vermont. For the past 10 years. She was a member of the Bugbee Senior Center and volunteered on the RSVP program, she also volunteered at the Chamber of Commerce Information Booth and for the Visiting Nurses in White River Jct. She was a former member of the American Legion Auxiliary in White River Jct Vermont. She enjoyed fishing with her husband, working with children and helping neighbors. She made many dinners for friends at her home in White River Jct Vermont. She leaves a daughter, Laura A. Tatro of Sharon, Vt., two grandchildren Laurie Ulbricht and Robert Lawson three great grandchildren, a brother, George Sherman of Montgomery, VT, a nephew, several cousins and a special lifelong friend, Mrs. Armstrong. Gerry was pre-deceased by a sister, Barbara Young.
